Dear Parents,

Welcome to the Nissitissit Middle School! We are looking forward to a fun and successful 2004-2005 school year.

We wanted to tell you about the Nissitissit Parent Teacher Support Group (PTSG) and to extend our invitation to you to attend our first PTSG meeting in the fall. This meeting date will be announced at a later date. This will give you a chance to learn all about the Nissitissit PTSG.

We support many programs at the Nissitissit and have fundraisers, such as our roller skating parties and our annual magazine drive. The PTSG has provided funding to the 7th grade Science team so that the maple syrup operation could be upgraded. We also helped them establish a wildlife observation/feeding station. For the past 2 years, the PTSG has also made a scholarship donation to the North Middlesex Regional Scholarship Fund and a donation to the Nissitissit Chorus production. We are also proud to have sponsored the purchase of t-shirts for the entire incoming 6th graders. This will help them to feel welcome and at home at the Nissitissit Middle School. They will be able to wear them for school spirit days.

We also have a volunteer coordinator who helps to ensure that we provide support and assistance in the school. All volunteers will need to fill out a CORI form. You will only need to fill out one form for the district. Please return this form to the main office as soon as possible.
We are actively recruiting new members this year and would welcome your input and comments.
